| I bought a new camera to replace my Minolta with the shutter that stuck on our Arctic trip. It is a Canon EOS Elan 7. I have a 28mm to 200mm zoom on it. It is much lighter than my old camera and I only need the one lens. This is a real bonus when hiking or skiing. These are the first rolls I shot with it so they aren't the best pictures. Some are a little fuzzy. I'm still getting used to the three auto-focus modes. These are not scanned with our new scanner. These were scanned by London Drugs as part of film processing. The first three subjects are from around our home. Birds I took a few bird pictures. These are the ones that turned out the best. Flowers It was spring when I bought this camera. There were not a lot of flowers out. The pasque/prairie-crocus/anenome in our backyard was nice. Wasp Nest During the roof removal part of our renovations, Henry discovered a huge wasp nest in the roof. The wasps had used pink insulation as well as cellulose to construct their nest. As a result, the nest had a nice pink hue. There were several other wasp nests, but this was by far the largest and pinkest. The pictures use several different light sources: interior with some daylight, daylight, and the preceding two with fill-in flash. Sawmill Trails, Kananaskis Country I took my camera on the last ski trip of the year. I went with Heather and Pat to the Sawmill Trails in Kananaskis Country. We had a nice ski with only minor injuries to Pat as he tried to perform for the camera. Unfortunately, my control of the auto-focus wasn't great as you can tell from the picture. | ||||||||
