The Monarch from Healy Pass We managed to squeeze a hike in between bouts of rainy, cool weather. Healy Pass is known for its wild flowers and, in fall, its larch. The flowers were delayed this year. We hiked through early blue violets, glacier lilies, and anemones. Usually these are out the first of July, not mid-July. © 2010. All images are copyrighted by Alan Covington.
