| A group of us attempted to hike to Healy Pass on 2003-07-12. The people who were on the hike are Laurel, Karen, Pat, Heather, Dietja, Ann, and Alan. The three pictures I took on our attempt at Healy Pass on 2003-07-13. The pictures explain why it was just an attempt and why there are only three pictures. On the way back, Laurel spotted a Sparrow's Egg Ladyslipper. It is the first one that I have seen. No picture. The light levels were too low and the wind was too high. Despite the rain and some leaky raingear, we all had fun, especially, when we went back to Heather's and Pat's for beer, smoked salmon spread (wild salmon from Alaska), and lots of talk. We also had a tour of the Corsair. It makes one want to start driving (until Pat mentioned the fuel consumption J). Before getting to Heather's and Pat's, we wanted to get to some summit so we stopped at the Summit Cafe and had coffee and a few eats. We just flowed from there to Heather's and Pat's. The descriptions (you have to look at an image larger than a toenail), rather than captions, on the pictures have more information. | |||||||
