 Gray Partridge Covey Ref: 2006_0320
We have had a covey of Gray Partridge (a.k.a., Hungarian Partridge) around our property since
spring. Two partridge families joined to make a covey of about 22 birds in the fall. We now have
about 11 birds. The remaining ones are quite wary. After taking these pictures through our kitchen
window, I tried to sneak out the road-side door to get some pictures not through dirty glass. The
door squeaked a bit; the birds flew immediately.
