It is an interesting experience taking documentation pictures of art. One wants to reproduce the colours, texture, and surface as accurately as possible. These images were taken in the morning using the light from a west window on a cloudy day. The camera's automatic white-balance algorithm didn't quite capture it. For these conversions from raw to JPEG, I've used the table cloth as the white reference. I'm not sure that it is quite accurate either. Since taking this images, I've purchased a "Digial Gray Card", which should give me a good white reference. I would like to repeat these photographs under similar lighting conditions with the gray card in the picture and use it as the white reference. It will be interesting to see the result. Now to wait for a cloudy day when I have some time. These images are also available in lossless PNG encoding at full resolution, just ask.
