We had arranged with Bird's Eye View
Lodge in Crooked
Tree to stay the first night with them. Leonard from the lodge picked us up at the
airport. He is a birder so drove slowly, stopped frequently, pointed out birds to us, and
stopped when we saw a bird and told us what the bird was. It was a really nice re-introduction
to Belize. I saw my first Limpkin on this drive.

The following day, we went on a morning boat right through the lagoon with Leonard. He knows
where to go and what the birds and lizards are. He was terrific at spotting small green
lizards on green plants.
