I was worried when we replaced our living room windows that the ginger would quite blooming (the new windows transmit less light than the old ones). I needed have. The scent from these is wonderful. It comes at a time of year when one needs a lift and not many other house plants are blooming. The nectar has a nice sweet flavour.
